Provider Manual - Claim Submission
It is highly recommended that claims be submitted electronically. PEHP currently receives all EDI claims through the Utah Health Information Network (UHIN). Contact UHIN at 801-466-7705 or PEHP's Help Desk at 801-366-7544 for more information.

All claims must be submitted to PEHP within 12 months from the date of service. Claims denied for untimely filing by a contracted provider are not the member's responsibility.
Exception: when PEHP becomes the secondary payer, the claim must be submitted to PEHP within 15 months from the date of service to be eligible. PEHP requires a copy of the primary carrier's Explanation of Benefits (EOB).
