When an employee cannot work because of a disability, it can cause immense financial hardship, if unprepared.
That’s where PEHP’s Long-Term Disability program can help. It pays disability benefits for two years when an employee is disabled from performing his/her regular job. Benefits continue beyond two years if the employee is disabled from all gainful occupation.
The program pays two-thirds of regular monthly salary after a three-month waiting period or 100 percent of salary if the disability is physical and is caused by outside force or violence on the job.
