Beginning July 1, 2017, in-network hospitals and providers in Cache County will change on the Summit Network. Cache Valley Hospital is replacing Logan Regional Hospital and two surgical centers, including South Pointe Surgical Center, are being added to the Summit Network. Some providers who were previously on the network will no longer be in-network, including Logan Regional Hospital.

The Advantage Network isn’t changing and will still include Logan Regional Hospital. Cache Valley Hospital and the two surgical centers will be considered out-of-network for Advantage members.
We’re making this change as the Cache Valley Hospital recently added new services in addition to their surgical and imaging services, including delivery and maternity care, along with an expanded emergency department. Some services found at Logan Regional Hosptial may not be available at Cache Valley Hospital, like Oncology.
With this change, it’s important to consider which network is right for you.
If you get services July 1 or later from a doctor or facility changed to out-of-network, they will be paid as such. PEHP may make exeptions for transitional care. Call PEHP’s Customer Service Department at 801-366-7555 and ask to speak to a Member Services Nurse.
